‘DETACH’ begun forming a few years ago after I played Pitch Festival. The song resurfaced when I missed my first US tour last year after my Visa was denied, so I suppose it’s a track I’ve revisited at the points in my life where I’ve needed to let shit go.
A few months later I had made it to California to finish the track in Rick Rubin’s studio – Shangri-La. Bringing ‘DETACH’ home put everything into perspective for me, it was 2am and it was just me and the engineer in the studio and the troubles of the past year had paid off."
